Capcom Asks Resident Evil Fans to Test New Games

Capcom is asking for feedback on new games that are being developed. Capcom specifically requested criticism and suggestions from the Japanese Resident Evil community.

Capcom is working on a project that hasn't been announced yet and whose details are unknown. However, according to a correspondence sent to Resident Evil Ambassadors in Japan - as obtained by Biohaze (and translated into English by VG247) - they asked Resident Evil fans to test it.

Reported by Game Spot, an email to the Resident Evil ambassador, seen and translated by Resi Biohaze fans, told them about the new game being developed by Capcom.

This test will be held by Capcom on September 8 or 9. The e-mail was sent by Capcom Division 1, who was in charge of iconic horror series such as Devil May Cry. This was also present after a fan meeting in Tokyo last June, as well as to Resident Evil Ambassadors.

The e-mail said, "To all Resident Evil Ambassadors, thank you for your protection about the Resident Evil series. Today, we are recruiting testers for the game that is being developed! "

"We are interested in incorporating feedback from all ambassadors into our game development. Please read the details and if you are interested in participating, click the Entry button. "

It is unclear what game Capcom meant in that email. It's possible that the company is working on the next main entry for the series or another remake that resembles the Resident Evil 2 remake.

However, Resident Evil 5 and 6 are being ported to Nintendo Switch at the end of this year. It could be, the game is only the version that underwent testing or not necessarily become the title of Resident Evil.

The latest receipt game is the Resident Evil 2 remake, which was launched in January with a positive reception. Resident Evil 2 is not just a star remake of the original.

"The game also became a powerful horror game, which provided situations that aroused anxiety, surpassing some of the series's best entries," said critic Alessandro Fillari.

As you might have guessed, this session will gather input from players and not something surprising if it is a new Resident Evil game, especially with the success of Resident Evil 2 this year. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard also had success before taking a different approach from the series.
