PSE stands for Electronic System Operator or digital platform. Kominfo asked private sector PSEs to immediately register with the ministry system. PSE who have registered, need to re-register if not according to the OSS RBA system.

The private PSE registration and deadline are based on Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019 concerning the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Transactions and the Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 10 of 2021 on Amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Communication and Informatics Number 5 of 2020 concerning Private Scope Electronic System Operators.

Based on these two rules, private sector electronic system operators, both domestic and foreign, must register no later than six months after the OSS RBA Kominfo operates e-mail. effective, starting January 21. In other words, under the rule, the deadline for private PSE registration ends on July 20, 2022.

How to Register for PSE Kominfo The regulation also states that there are six categories of PSE that are required to register.

First, PSE which provides, manages and or operates the supply and or trade of goods and or services.

Second, PSE which provides or manages and or operates financial transaction services.

Third, PSE that sends paid digital materials or content through the data network, either by downloading through portals or delivery sites, electronic mail, or through applications.

Fourth, PSE that provides, manages and or operates communication services, including, but not limited to short messages, voice calls, video calls, electronic mail and online conversations, in the form of digital platforms for network services and social media.

Fifth, PSE that provides search engine services, providing electronic information in the form of writing, images, sound, video, animation, music, films and games, or a combination of some and or all of them. Lastly, PSE which processes personal data for operational activities, serves the public related to electronic transaction activities.

Based on Kominfo data from 2015 to this month, there are 4,540 PSE registered in Indonesia, consisting of 4,472 domestic PSE and 68 foreign. Kominfo contains a list of PSE names that have registered on their official website.

Searching on the site, big names including Facebook, WhatsApp and Google are not yet in the Kominfo system. According to Dedy, so far foreign PSEs and whose names are known to the public, those who have registered include TikTok and Linktree.
